Step 2: License Keys
License keys are provided by insightsoftware, in either an XML file, or within the text of an email. One license key is required for each user. This article describes these keys.
Prior to creating users, the aforementioned license keys must be imported. Once the license keys are imported, users are added and assigned a license key. During the add user process, the system validates the license key for the user. An internet connection is required for validation process. If you do not have an internet connection, and must validate manually, contact insightsoftware for instructions.
If necessary, a user may be removed, allowing the license key to be assigned to a different user or, allowing the license key to be removed.
The following table defines the various license key statuses, and indicates the suggested next action to be taken:
